"Royal Saloon".
The '91 model. Black exterior, maroon interior. My dad owned this car. It had a cassette player. So I thought it was classy af. At night, I would cruise around the neighborhood listening to whatever dance tapes I could get hold of. Chillin, vibing. Naive, unadulterated joy. It was the best.

"Through The Night".
I underwent depression and suffered insomnia for the first time in my life. I'd spend several long hours in bed at night wondering if sleep would show up. Did I dream? It felt cold. Unfamiliar and strange. Edgy at school. An outsider. This experience left me with a surprise gift: a self-aware identity.

"Lasagna".
My favorite thing growing up was discovering great music. Hard to describe the excitement of playing that cassette after spending all your pocket money on it. Sneaking in some internet time so I could download a track over 56K modem. Making shitty mixtapes so I could listen to them over and over again. Little things.
